Working from Home Outfits

It is so easy to get stuck in a rut with your clothes, especially when we are working from home and generally people are only seeing our top halves during video calls. Jeans and a jumper are my go to but I try and mix it up and I will always make sure I have taken time to add a belt and jewellery to finish off my outfit.

I encourage you to mix things up, getting dressed up brings joy and makes you feel like you can take on anything. It is a confidence boost and makes you feel good about yourself. Here are some outfits to inspire you for a week.

A Jumper Dress

This was a key item from the AW21/22 catwalks and is the easiest and cosiest item to wear. I’ve chosen a couple of options for you, and these can be worn with tights and boots, layered over faux leather leggings and trainers, or super comfy padded boots. I’ve added a belt to the black jumper dress to add some more detail to a very simple dress, but this would also work without the belt. The cream dress has been kept simple with tonal boots and a pretty gold necklace.

Black Jumper Dress, John Lewis, £40

Chunky Layered Hoop Earring, & Other Stories, £13

Open Circle Bracelet, Eleven Fifteen Jewellery, £40

Beaded Bracelet, Eleven Fifteen Jewellery, £35

Wrap Belt, Isabel Marant, £110

Padded Boots, & Other Stories, £135

Knitted Dress, H&M, £39.99

Large Horn Necklace, Lucy Williams Missoma, £145

Knee High Boots, & Other Stories, £205

A Boilersuit

One item, like a dress, that you can put on and not have to think about it. I have suggested layering a nice bright coloured jersey roll neck underneath the denim boilersuit. This will give you an extra layer for warmth, but will also lift your mood. Some cute pearl hoop earrings and a horn necklace to add some detail. I love these shearling boots from And/Or at John Lewis, and they will really finish off your outfit.

Denim Boilersuit, Boden, £52

Yellow Jersey Rollneck, Hobbs, £22

Mini Pearl Hoop Earring, & Other Stories, £17

Large Horn Necklace, Lucy Williams Missoma, £145

Shearling Boots, And/Or, £139

Faux Leather Joggers

Like a sweat pant, but elevated, a pair of faux leather trousers can be worn dressed up or down. I have added a white shirt to these to create a smarter work outfit but with a comfort element, especially when worn with the short Ugg boots.

Oversized White Shirt, Mint Velvet, £79

Faux Leather Joggers, Mint Velvet, £79

Large Horn Necklace, Lucy Williams Missoma, £145

Chunky Layered Hoop Earring, & Other Stories, £13

Mini Ugg, £125

Baby Cord Trousers

These again, will be very soft and comfortable, but an upgrade from your joggers. Worn with a stripe half zip, if you don’t have one already, then this is a must. This knit will look great with jeans in all shades, and will work very hard for you day to day. I’ve added a simple chain necklace and a pair of New Balance 237s, these trainers are very comfortable and are available in so many different colours.

Stripe Half Zip Knit, & Other Stories, £95

Babycord Joggers, Hush, £65

Pearl Chain Link Necklace, Zara, £12.99

New Balance 237, Schuh, £75

Leather Look Leggings

Elevate your everyday leggings or gym leggings to a pair of faux leather leggings, equally as comfortable but with an edge of style. Team with a nice slouchy knit in a bright colour, gold jewellery and some super comfy boots.

Chunky Rollneck, Hush, £110

Leather Look Leggings, Commando, £95

Chunky Layered Hoop Earring, & Other Stories, £13

Open Circle Bracelet, Eleven Fifteen Jewellery, £40
