Colour Blocking Brights

“Colour is life, joy, fun!” Donatella Versace

There were splashes of colour everywhere in the Spring Summer 22 catwalk shows and some great colour combinations too. Valentino combined chocolate brown, raspberry and cerulean blue, whereas Halpern had tangerine and fuchsia together. If colour mixing isn’t your thing then you can opt for head to toe in one bold colour as seen at Emilia Wickstead and Molly Goddard.

Valentino, Molly Goddard, Haplern, Versace & Gucci.

Getting dressed in the morning in an outfit that makes you feel good is something that I have mentioned previously. There might also be pieces in your wardrobe that have memories attached to them and wearing them will make you smile. If you can add some of these bold, bright colours into your outfits too then you will feel your mood lift and brighten. Colours like yellow, orange and red have uplifting effects on our mood, whereas the colours on the opposite side of the spectrum, green, blue and purple can have a calming effect.

Below are some street style images I have put together from Pinterest as inspiration.

See what you have in your wardrobe already that you can pull together and let me know how these colours make you feel as I am really interested in the benefits of colour on peoples mood and mindset.
