Biker Jacket Blog

I have always said that a leather biker jacket is a staple in your wardrobe and an item that is definitely worth investing in. The spring summer 2022 catwalk shows had every kind of version you could imagine so there is something for everyone. There were 90s slim fit styles which were lapel free at Acne and Miu Miu. At Balenciaga and Prada they were oversized with multiple zips. McQueen mixed theirs with denim and Simone Rocha added puff shoulders for a feminine element. Whichever one you choose this staple is set to dominate.

I’ve had my leather biker jacket from Whistles for over nine years and wear it season after season. As we put away our heavy knits and puffer coats the biker jacket will be the outerwear option of choice. They work with every outfit, simple with jeans and a white or striped T shirt, adding some attitude to a pretty floral dress, or a feminine pleated skirt, with an easy black trouser and a grey hoody, or even with your slim fit joggers and sweat top. So many options and below are some examples of how I have styled my leather biker jacket over the years.

Preloved places like Depop, Your Preloved Stories, Wear Not Want Not and Vestiaire Collective are great places to find a second hand or sometimes a new with tags garment that has not even been worn. Charity shops are also worth a search. So if you don’t have a biker in your wardrobe already then I would encourage you to look at preloved options.

If you are unable to find a second hand biker, then I have found some online for you.
